Start smaller than you think

Beginners often fail because the daily target is too large. Start with an amount you can repeat accurately and still revise yesterday's work. A few lines learned consistently can be more valuable than a page learned once and forgotten.

A 20–30 minute beginner routine

Use the same order each day so the routine becomes automatic.

  • Listen to the selected ayat with a reciter you can follow clearly.
  • Read while looking until pronunciation and sequence feel familiar.
  • Repeat each ayah enough times to remove hesitation.
  • Connect the ayat together instead of memorizing them as isolated pieces.
  • Hide the text and recite from memory.
  • Finish by revising yesterday's portion.

Do not increase new memorization too quickly

If yesterday's portion is unstable, spend more time strengthening it before adding much more. Your pace should be controlled by retention, not by excitement on day one.

Use Tatbith as a structure, not a shortcut

Tatbith can organize listening, repetition, memorization and revision, but the actual work is still your recitation and repetition. Use the app to reduce decision fatigue and keep the routine visible.
