Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to:

• The Tatbith website at tatbith.app
• The Tatbith Android application
• Related services including the waitlist, OAuth login, and optional data sync

It does not apply to third-party services that Tatbith links to or integrates with. Those services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

Information We Collect

Account information via Quran.Foundation

Tatbith uses Quran.Foundation as its identity provider. When you sign in, Quran.Foundation shares only the permissions you explicitly grant. Depending on your selection, this may include:

• Your name and email address
• Your reading bookmarks
• Your reading streak
• Your memorization goal
• Your activity days

We never receive your password. All authentication is handled entirely by Quran.Foundation.

Local device data

When you use the Tatbith app, data may be stored locally on your device, including:

• Memorization progress and completed sessions
• Repetition counts and session settings
• Revision history and schedules
• App preferences and configuration
• Offline cache data where applicable

Local data is used to provide the app experience and remains on your device unless you choose to enable login or sync with a connected account. We do not access or transmit local device data without your action to do so.

Waitlist information

If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address. You may optionally provide your phone number, student type, and preferred address. This information is used only to contact you about Tatbith’s launch and early access.

Usage and diagnostic data

We may collect anonymized data such as session duration and feature usage to understand how the app is used and to improve it. This data is not linked to your identity.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and operate your Tatbith account
• Personalize your memorization plan, pace, and progress tracking
• Send you product updates and early access announcements when you have opted in
• Deliver email notifications related to your waitlist registration
• Improve the app through anonymized analysis
• Respond to your questions and support requests

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-Party Services

Tatbith uses the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy, which governs how they process your data.

Quran.Foundation

Used for OAuth authentication and optional user data sync (bookmarks, streak, goal, activity days). Your use of Quran.Foundation features is subject to their Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for Quran.Foundation’s data practices.

Supabase

Used to store waitlist submissions. Supabase operates under industry-standard security and data protection practices. Supabase does not have access to your Quran.Foundation credentials or local device data.

Vercel

Tatbith’s website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may log standard web request data including IP addresses for security and reliability purposes.

Email delivery providers

Tatbith uses a tiered system to send email notifications when you join the waitlist. This may involve Resend, Gmail (via Google), or FormSubmit, depending on configuration. These providers receive your email address solely for the purpose of delivering the notification. They do not use your data for their own purposes.

Google Play

The Tatbith Android app is distributed through Google Play. Google Play may collect device and usage information in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.

Qur'an Content and Third-Party Sources

Tatbith does not claim ownership over the Qur’an. However, specific translations, audio recordings, fonts, layouts, timing data, metadata, and digital datasets used within the app may be subject to their own copyright, license terms, or provider terms. Where such content is used, Tatbith endeavors to comply with the applicable license conditions of each source.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• With the service providers listed above, solely to operate Tatbith
• When required by applicable law, court order, or valid legal process
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of Tatbith, our users, or the public

Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and secure storage. No system is completely secure. We encourage you to protect your Quran.Foundation account and to contact us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized access to your data.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Export your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, or to request deletion of your account or waitlist entry, contact us at tatbith.app@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Waitlist data is held until you request removal or until you are migrated to a full Tatbith account at launch. Local device data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its data. You may request deletion of any data we hold at any time.

Children

Tatbith is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently received such information, contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify waitlist subscribers by email. Continued use of Tatbith after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
